Modern soapstone incense burner
As an alternative to burning incense on charcoal, you can use the sieve vessels. The resins, herbs or woods to be smoked are simply placed on the fine-meshed sieve and the candle lit underneath. In this way, the incense glows more gently and slowly than directly on the charcoal.
