We are IG Imperium Romanum, a community of interest from Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg, based in Worms, which is enthusiastically and actively committed to the customs of Roman antiquity around 150 AD from the region of Civitas Vangionum, today's Rheinhessen. We try not only to experience the Roman life of our ancestors 2000 years ago, but also to live it and make it tangible and comprehensible to others through our efforts. Precisely because we do a lot of the reconstruction, building, sewing, crafting and forging ourselves, cohesion, fun and a good atmosphere within our team and the group are very important to us. Within the scope of our possibilities as a hobby, we strive to be as authentic as possible, to enjoy the sporting fun of combat, formation training and disciplinary exercises, to appreciate hospitality and a cosy glass of wine around the campfire, and above all, not to take ourselves too seriously. These are our values; this is our group.
