 w\, this beloved event celebrates the legend of Robin Hood with pageantry\,
  archery\, knights and living history.\nEach weekend features an action-pac
 ked programme of events around the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and under
  the iconic Major Oak: archery competitions\, jousting\, medieval markets\,
  theatrical performances of Robin Hood legends\, and living history encampm
 ents where re-enactors in Lincoln green and Norman armour demonstrate life 
 in 12th-century England. The 40th anniversary edition promises special cele
 brations with additional performers\, historical guests and commemorative e
