This chain hood was made of round, unriveted rings. The surface of the rings was burnished (blackened) and therefore offers a certain protection against rust.
The braiding is 4 in 1.

It completely covers the shoulder and has a square face cutout. We recommend wearing a padded arming cap underneath.
In addition, this chainmail coif has a square mouth guard made of padded leather. Leather straps are attached to the two upper corners of the mouthguard. This type of chainmail hood was especially popular in the high middle ages.
