In the Middle Ages, dyers ventured into a wide range of experiments with color combinations to create new shades. This resulted not only in new colors, but also in artistic patterns that were brought to life by weaving together different colored yarns. With great sensitivity in their choice of shades, they succeeded in creating an impressive range of color combinations and designs.

Even today, hand-dyed wool yarn is used in a variety of ways – whether for knitting, crocheting, weaving, or other textile projects. The dyeing is done lovingly by hand with acid dyes, whose color palette is based on historical pigments, bringing a touch of times gone by to modern handicrafts.
