This bow from IDV Engineering is designed for heavy-duty use at LARP events, medieval re-enactments and open-air events. The construction is remarkably simple: a core made of glass fibre composite (GFK) is encased in a layer of semi-rigid, highly durable polyurethane foam. The result is a bow that can withstand more than most of its users will ever demand.

What this construction means in practice: the bow reacts calmly to dry shots, withstands knocks and blows, defies rain and the heat of the sun, and can even be bent over 180° – without breaking. For those who don’t have time for delicate equipment in LARP and want to shoot reliably even in bad weather, this is a functional, low-maintenance tool. The draw weight is 26 lbs measured at a 28-inch draw length, and the bow length is 1200 mm.
