Medieval Cotton Cotehardie

The Marian Cotehardie is a basic garment from Epic Armoury’s Yoremade collection, designed for the High and Late Middle Ages of the 14th and 15th centuries. Unlike buttoned versions, this tunic features a central lacing system with reinforced eyelets, which cinches the waist tightly and allows for an exceptionally customised fit – creating the typical, fitted silhouette of this era.

The lower sleeves feature a row of functional buttons that taper the sleeves at the wrists – a fashionable detail that was considered a status symbol in the Late Middle Ages. The dress is made from 100% cotton (slub fabric), which offers a textured, rustic look and is comfortable, natural and breathable to wear. It is available in brown and blue and is suitable for a wide range of medieval character roles.
