Chainmail shirt or Hauberk made of riveted and punched rings, Ø 6 mm (0.24 in)

This chainmail shirt or Hauberk consists of 2 types of rings. One row was made of riveted flat rings, the next of punched flat rings. Also in the Middle Ages chain skirts, chain shirts etc. were made in this way, because it was not so time-consuming and still is.
This made it possible then as now to use rings made of steel with a thickness of only 1mm (0.04 in) without losing their strength. Through this a weight reduction of 30-35% is achieved.

Available in 3 different sizes!

In the Middle Ages this chain mail shirt was called "Hauberk" because of its long sleeves and knee length.
The sleeves are tapered, they became tighter by 1 ring every 5 cm (2 in).

In the Middle Ages, the chainmail was extended by frontal or lateral slits for better legroom. This even made it possible to ride comfortably on horses.

Our Hauberk is generally not slit, so that it can be adjusted individually.
