This chainmail shirt was made of round rings of aluminium, which were riveted by means of round rivets (round rivet heads).
Due to the aluminium this chainmail is very light compared to steel chainmail.

The name "Haubergeon" is given to this chainmail shirt, because it is a half to short sleeved chainmail shirt, which reaches straight to the thigh.
