This beardman mug or beer mug is a typical renaissance piece of pottery. It was made in germany by beige clay and brown engobe. Even if it is typical for the 16th-18th century there are some findings of beardman pottery in the late medieval era 13th-15th century in Potsdam and Bardowick.
