Medieval Shield “Anglo-Saxon”

Discover this impressive Anglo-Saxon round shield – hand-painted and full of stories from Norse mythology. It is made of approx. 13 mm (0.51 inches) thick plywood and features an elaborate snake motif and three runes from the Anglo-Saxon futhorc. The snake is reminiscent of the Midgard serpent Jörmungandr, which in ancient legends encircles the world – a symbol of strength, unity, and eternal return.
The included shield boss can be easily attached with rivets and lies securely even in strong hands. The metal rim provides additional protection for the shield, and the back is fitted with a sturdy fist grip made of solid wood. Although the shield is a little too light for hard full contact, it is perfect for reenactment, LARP, or theater. It also makes an excellent decoration or collector's item for anyone interested in Viking and Anglo-Saxon culture.

Each shield is unique – slight variations in color and workmanship make each one special.
